Rainbow Cowl

So... I still suck at blogging... life is just too busy right now. BUT I did finish up the Time Out Cowl for the Maybe Matilda Crochet-Along! But I did highly modify it :) I used Vanna's Choice yarn, just under a ball of black, and barely any red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple yarn and a 9mm hook. I made the cowl only 5 V's wide and I did 9 rows of each colour. After I blocked it the finished size was 7" x 58" which I'm quite happy with. I'm quite happy with the final product :) I'll probably end up tossing it on Etsy eventually since my winter coat is bright red with ruffles and this would just be WAY too much for me.

Me very awkwardly modeling the cowl.
A much nicer shot of the cowl hanging out by it's lonesome.

  1. Yay! Great job! I'm so impressed by the variations people are putting on the pattern . . . I never would have even though to add stripes, but it looks so fun and happy that way! Thanks so much for joining in :-)

  2. It looks gorgeous. Love the rainbowy pattern. You must be a crochet expert already. :0) Don't worry, your pose is not awkward at all. It's always hard to take self portraits! :0)

  4. Rachel - Thanks! I love rainbow and wanted to mostly use scraps so this seemed to work perfectly!

Jamie - I'm not sure if I would say expert but I'm pretty good, and the sad this is, that wasn't a self-portrait, my husband took the picture :)

Kim - Thanks! I'm insanely in love with rainbow and I love that the black made the colours pop so much more
